Peptides

What Are Peptides?

Your body makes peptides. They’re strings of amino acids, which are the “building blocks” of proteins. But a peptide doesn’t have as many amino acids as a protein does.  Peptides are molecules that are made up of two or more amino acids, which are connected by peptide bonds. They are important for many biological processes, including cell signaling and metabolism. Peptides can also be used in research to determine the structure and function of proteins and other molecules.

Lab-made peptides can mimic some of those found in your body. Some of them are used in medications for conditions ranging from diabetes to multiple sclerosis.

Studies have also found that certain types may have benefits for your skin, muscles, and maybe your weight. So companies are putting them into skin products and dietary supplements you can buy over the counter.

Treatment

In most cases Peptides are administered by subcutaneous injection.  Some clients administer the injection to themselves using a tiny needle into the fat tissue.  The needle is so small, the injection is virtually painless.

BPC 157

Is a peptide chain composed of 15 amino acids, it is a partial sequence of body protection compound (BPC) that is discovered in and isolated from human gastric juice found in the stomach. Numerous research has demonstrated that it accelerates the healing of many different wounds, including tendon-to-bone healing, and superior healing of damaged ligaments. Further research suggest systematic healing of intestinal damage such as fistulas, inflammatory disorders, gastro-intestinal cramps, Crohn’s disease and leaky gut. Those who suffer from disconfort due to muscle spains, tears and damage may benefit from this treatment.

Dihexa

Is a peptide variant derived from angiotensin IV which has been found to potently improve cognitive function in animal models of disease such as Alzheimer’s. Angiotensin IV is a derivative of the potent vasoconstrictor lolligeangiotensin II and has been shown to enhance acquisition, consolidation and recall of learning and memory. In an assay of neurotrophicactivity, Dihexa was found to be seven orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF. It could possibly help in the repair of the brain and nerves in neurological disease.

PT-141

Is a peptide that works directly through the nervous system to increase arousal, desire, andsatisfaction with sex. Although most of the research has been targeted to women with female sexual dysfunction it has been found to be an effective medication in treating sexual dysfunction in both men (erectile dysfunction or impotence) and women (sexual arousal disorder). Unlike Viagra and other related medications, it does not act upon the vascular system, but directly increases sexual desire via the nervous system. It is estimated that 43% of women (30 million is the US) suffer from sexual dysfunction and 30 million men suffer from erectal disfuction with incidenc increasing 2-3 fold between ages 40-70. Bremelanotide currentlv has no contraindications and is 80% effective in men don’t respond to Viagra or Cialis. For women, it causes a 50% increase in sexually satisfying.

SEMAGLUTIDE

Senaglutide is an antidiabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and long-term weight management. Semaglutide acts like human glucagon-like peptide-1 in that it increases insulin secretion, thereby increasing sugar metabolism. It works by helping the pancreas to release the right amount of insulinwhen blood sugar levels are high. Weight loss may result from GLP-1’s reduction of appetite and slowing down digestion. This was a global study of nearly 2000 individuals with a BMI of 30 or greater, or BMI of 27 or greater and coexistent hypertension, dyslipidemia, sleep apnea, or cardiovascular disease. The treatment group received subcutaneous injections of semaglutide, the control a placebo 30 it injection; both groups received “lifestyle interventions.” The outcomes of interest were weight loss as measured as a percent change from baseline and achieving a 5% or greater reduction in body weight over 68 weeks.

Reactions may include: gastrointestinal – nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.

TESOFENSINE

Tesofensine is categorised as a pre-synaptic reuptake inhibitor of dopamine, serotonin and noradrenaline. When these three neurotransmitter chemicals (serotonin, dopamine and noradrenaline) are prevented from being reabsorbed by the central nervous system, the body responds by feeling less hungry. Therefore are more inclined to have smaller meals and are less likely to snack.Tesofensine also appears to affect the pleasure sensation of food consumption bymodulating the action of dopamine on a particular sector of the brain. In a double-bind trial with 203 people (with half given a placebo) those taking the placebo had lost 2.0% of body weight while those taking the medication with the active ingredient had experienced far more successful results. For those taking the lowestdose of 0.25 mg, average weight loss was 6.5%, those taking the medium dose of 0.5mg lost 11.2% and those taking the highest dose of 1 mg lost 12.6%. In the two highest dose groups, the treatment led to a 4 point drop in BMI in a period of 24 weeks.
